José Hernández

José Hernández Muñoz (Tangier, Spanish Protectorate of Morocco, January 5, 1944-Málaga, November 20, 20131), was a Spanish painter and plastic artist, member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando since 1989.

Since 1971 he has carried out extensive work as an illustrator in both popular and bibliophile editions, with texts by Ángel González, James Joyce, Luis Buñuel, José-Miguel Ullán, Juan de Jaúregui, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Edouard Roditi, Ryonosuke, Akutagawa, Franz Kafka, Ernesto Sabato, Juan Rulfo, Jorge Luis Borges, José Antonio Muñoz Rojas, Horacio Costa, Francisco Brines, Federico García Lorca and Juan Ramón Jiménez.
