Alexis Leyva Machado or Kcho (sometimes spelled K'cho) (Isla de Pinos, February 12, 1970) is a Cuban painter who is a deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power in the VII Legislature. In 1986 he graduated from the Elementary School of Art in Nueva Gerona, Isla de la Juventud. He graduated from the National School of Art of Cuba with a specialty in drawing and painting in 1990.1 In 1994 he received the Ludwig Foundation Scholarship, in Aachen (Germany). Deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power in the VII Legislature. He received the Distinction for National Culture in 1998 and the Abel Santamaría Medal in 2003.
