Antonio López García (Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, January 6, 1936) is a Spanish painter and sculptor.
Antonio López 1García was born on January 6, 1936 in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real. He was the eldest son of a couple of wealthy farmers whose house was located on Domecq Street. His early vocation for drawing, as well as the influence of his uncle, the painter Antonio López Torres, shaped his decision to dedicate himself to painting.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions and has been the protagonist of several individual exhibitions, among which those held at the Staempfli Gallery in New York in 1965 and 1968 and at the Marlborough Gallery (New York and London) in 1986 stand out for their impact. In 1985 he represented Spain at Europalia 85, Brussels, together with the artists Eduardo Chillida and Antoni Tàpies.
