Collection: Eduardo Úrculo

Eduardo Úrculo Fernández (Santurce, Vizcaya, September 21, 1938 - Madrid, March 31, 2003) was a Spanish painter and sculptor. He was one of the best exponents of pop art in Spain.

Eduardo Úrculo moved to Asturias, where he studied at the Sama Institute (Langreo). It was in that same municipality where he held his first exhibition, at the Home of the Producer of La Felguera in 1957. He participated in the I City of Oviedo Art Biennial. His last individual exhibitions took place at the Marcelino Botín Foundation in Santander and at the Teresa Gallery. Cuadrado, from Valladolid (2000).

As a sculptor, he created the work Equipaje de ultramar, in the Plaza de los Paragüitas in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura (2000).

In Langreo there is a gallery with his name, and in 2009 the Eduardo Úrculo Cultural Center was inaugurated in Madrid.
