Collection: Enrique Brinkmann

Enrique Brinkmann Parareda (Málaga, October 9, 1938), is a Spanish painter.

With self-taught artistic training, he held his first exhibition in 1957 in his hometown. Four years later he left Spain and lived in Cologne, Berlin and Rome, places where he learned engraving. Upon his return in 1967, he developed his work in painting, engraving and drawing, and taught classes at the Madrid Mint.

His work is part of relevant institutions and museums such as the MOMA in New York. He has participated in Biennales such as the X Sao Paulo Biennial, the III Beijing International Art Biennale among others.

He has had individual exhibitions in countries such as Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and the United States, as well as Spain.

At the beginning of a new decade, in January 2020, he held an individual exhibition with recent work titled Chromatic Archives, at the Freijo Gallery in Madrid.

In 2006 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the province of Malaga.
