Collection: Ferrán García Sevilla

Ferran García Sevilla (Palma de Mallorca, 1949) is a Spanish artist. Initially linked to art theory and criticism, he has been a professor of Fine Arts at various universities. He exhibited for the first time in 1972. Initiated in conceptual art (installation Patrius, Patria, Patrium, 1976), he led to painting and graphics, framed in the so-called postmodern art. He usually arranges well-defined figures - often anthropomorphic - on neutral backgrounds or with insistently repeated motifs. It uses rich, lively and contrasting color ranges, with a simple language that is sometimes close to primitive art.
