Gregorio Prieto

Gregorio Prieto Muñoz (Valdepeñas, May 2, 1897 - ibidem, November 14, 1992) was a Spanish painter associated with the Generation of '27.

Starting in 1970, he received important recognitions, culminating in the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (1982), the Gold Medal of the Community Board of Castilla-La Mancha, the inauguration of the Gregorio Prieto Foundation Museum and the appointment of Honorary Academician of the Royal School of Fine Arts of San Fernando (1990). He died at the age of 95 in his hometown.
