Javier de Juan, 1958, is a Spanish artist. He lives and works in Madrid, being a prominent figure in relation to the plastic image of the Madrid scene and the new figuration of the eighties. Painter, draftsman and engraver, he has also stood out as a muralist and as a digital artist in recent years. His work is marked by the influence of expressionism and German design of the 1930s, as well as American art of the 1950s and graffiti. His work became more intimate and reflective starting in the 1990s. In recent years he has been working on digital art, especially for public projections. He has also dedicated part of his time to writing, graphic design and animated films.
