Joan Hernández Pijuan1​ (Barcelona, ​​February 15, 1931-Barcelona, ​​December 28, 2005) was a Spanish painter.

Since 1977 he worked as a professor at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, ​​combining his creative activity with his teaching work. From 1980 onwards he was part of the activities commission of the Miró Foundation of Barcelona. In 1989 he took up the position of professor of painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona, ​​where in 1992 he was appointed Dean. Since 1997 he was an academic of Fine Arts.
