Collection: Robert Delaunay

Robert Delaunay (Paris, April 12, 1885 - Montpellier, October 25, 1941) was a French painter. Together with his wife, Sonia Delaunay, they were pioneers of abstract art and creators of simultaneism.

He abandoned cubism, with its geometric shapes and monochromatic colors, to embark on a new style, Orphism , which focused on circular shapes and bright colors and which has also been described as abstract cubism or rayonism.
