(Madrid, 1922) Spanish painter. A prominent member of what has been called the Third Madrid School, his landscapes combine traditional realism with Fauve chromatic decorativeism following an evolution characterized by experimentation with matter that leads to the very limit of non-figuration.

His travels through the Spanish geography fostered his taste for the landscape. His style evolves towards greater schematization and a reduction in the range of colors.
