Antoni tàpies

Lithograph in gray with two inks, black and red, on hand-operated newspaper printing. This work is part of the edition of the book Nocturn Matinal, produced jointly by Antoni Tàpies and the poet Joan Brossa (1919-1998) and published by Polígrafa. This lithograph belongs, specifically, to the rehaussée (“reinforced”) suite published together with the book in a numbered and signed edition of 100 copies. In this suite, a special edition of the book's lithographs, Tàpies adds some touches to the original motifs, such as, in this case, the inclusion of the four red strokes that enhance the composition.
