Alberto gironella

The 264-page book contains 34 full-page illustrations, 60 vignettes and an original engraving by Alberto Gironella. It is bound with Hansaleinen cloth with 2 prints and has a dimension of 16 x 24 cm. (The green case in the image is not included) "What I wanted to do in working with Tirano Banderas was to recover different real elements that Valle could have known during his visits to Mexico." From this desire of Gironella, some impressive lithographic collages emerged, in which the characters are resurrected in photographs converted into metaphors and exchanged in complex pictorial contexts. The smallest composer element, each color has its symbolic value. Regarding the figure of the tyrant, he explains: "if Valle used Huerta as a reference for the tyrant, then I work from an image of him, to which I incorporate the characteristics that are attributed to him in the novel..."
